In Indore, the district administration is starting the process of granting land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were recently included within the municipal corporation limits. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has issued directives regarding this initiative. The residents of these villages who occupy residential land without a lease can now apply for a lease under land holding rights, which will be valid for 30 years. This will facilitate easier property transactions and obtaining loans. Camps will be organized on September 29, 2024, at various tehsil offices to receive applications, and online applications will also be accepted. Applicants are required to provide specific documents such as utility bills, government correspondence related to the property, property tax receipts, and voter list details. Eligible beneficiaries will be granted leases after verification.
